Blocklist
The Blocklist, known as the Do Not Contact list in the web interface, is a way to manage contacts and destinations that no longer want to be contacted in communications and campaigns. It helps you collect, manage, and track the list of destinations that have opted out of receiving communication so that you can stay compliant with important personal data regulations, such as GDPR.
The Blocklist feature is designed to manage and automate opt out and unsubscribe requests. By respecting end users' opt out requests, this feature helps maintain a positive relationship with your audience.
When a phone number or email address is added to the Blocklist, Infobip checks the list before sending any further communication.
Add phone numbers and email addresses to the Blocklist by:
-
Automatically collecting opt outs
- Defining an MO keyword with the blocking action
- Using URL opt out links
- Evaluating an event in a Moments communication flow
-
Manually managing opt outs
- Using the Blocklist API
- Using People and the Do Not Contact list
Features
Opt outs collected using defined rules
Infobip automatically collects opt outs according to your defined rules. Examples include MO keywords, URL opt out links, and events from Moments.
Opt out management
Manage opt outs in the Do Not Contact list or with the Blocklist API.
Live traffic blocking based on collected opt outs
When you send a message, Infobip checks the Blocklist and does not send messages to end users on the list. The response includes an error code that indicates the end user has unsubscribed.
Logging campaign reference
Blocklist logs campaign reference information from both the web interface and the Campaign Reference ID. Campaign information is logged when a record is first added and provides analytical insights into which unsubscribes are linked to specific campaigns and how those campaigns are performing.
