OpenAPI specification
Infobip publishes its API contracts as an OpenAPI 3.x specification. The spec is the source of truth for all endpoint documentation, request and response schemas, authentication methods, and status codes. All official API client libraries are generated from it. The specification is versioned independently of individual endpoints, using Semantic Versioning, and stays aligned with the current documented API behavior. For what MAJOR, MINOR, and PATCH increments mean for your integration, see OpenAPI document versioning.
Access the specification
The complete specification covers all Infobip APIs in a single OpenAPI document:
The product-level specification is scoped to a single product. Substitute {product} with a product slug such as sms, whatsapp, or voice:
To get the list of product identifiers, call https://api.infobip.com/platform/1/openapi/available-products. See Get a list of available products. Both specification URLs return the specification as JSON. Request a URL directly to download the document. You do not need an API key or other credentials to download the specification.
Ways to use the spec
You can use the spec in the following ways:
- Browse the reference: The Infobip API reference is generated from the spec. It documents every endpoint, request and response schema, and status code in a readable format.
- Generate a client: Use any OpenAPI code generator (such as openapi-generator or kiota) to scaffold a typed API client in your language. Point the generator at the product-level spec URL. The complete spec covers all products and is about 10 MB.
- Import into Postman: In Postman, select Import and paste the spec URL to create a pre-configured collection with all endpoints and schemas.

API requests and responses
Conventions every request follows: phone numbers, dates, content types, and pagination.
