Email sender reputation reports give you insight into the sending reputation of your email traffic. Available for Email only, reputation is tracked using two key technical identifiers: sending IP and envelope domain.

Use email sender reputation reports when you need to:

  • Track SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication pass rates
  • Track your sender score and overall deliverability health
  • Check whether your sending IP or envelope domain appears on blocklists
  • Understand how Gmail (Google Postmaster) and Outlook (Microsoft Smart Network Data Services) perceive your sender reputation

Access and availability

Email sender reputation reports are part of the Email Deliverability Center and AI Assistant. The Email Deliverability Center must be enabled on your account to access this report. Contact your account manager to enable it.

Email sender reputation reports require the Analyze Manager role. See account settings for role management.

You must also have at least one dedicated sending IP or an envelope domain configured on your account. Without either, no reputation data is available.

For retention and full data availability details, see Reporting overview.

Report structure and grouping logic

Reputation data is calculated daily using UTC timezone. Data for the current day is still being collected and is excluded from report periods.

Email authentication

MetricDescription
SPF success ratePercentage of emails that passed SPF (Sender Policy Framework) authentication. Measures whether the sending IP is authorized to send on behalf of the domain.
DKIM success ratePercentage of emails that passed DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) authentication. Measures the integrity and authenticity of email content through cryptographic signatures.
DMARC success ratePercentage of emails that passed DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance) authentication. Combines SPF and DKIM results to verify sender legitimacy and policy compliance.

Each authentication metric can report the following values: Pass, Fail, SoftFail, Neutral, None, Temperror, Permerror, Policy override, Mismatch, Missing, and Unknown.

Sender reputation

MetricDescription
Sender scoreOverall reputation score (0 to 100) based on a weighted calculation of bounce rate, spam complaints, blocklist impact, spam trap hits, and unknown user rate. Higher scores indicate better reputation. Available only for sending identities with higher traffic volumes.

Google Postmaster reputationReputation score from Google Postmaster Tools. Reflects how Gmail perceives the sender. Impacts deliverability to Gmail and Google Workspace mailboxes.Bad, Low, Medium, High (higher is better)
Microsoft reputationReputation score from Microsoft Smart Network Data Services (SNDS). Reflects how Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 perceive the sender. Impacts deliverability to Microsoft email services.Green (good) to Red (poor)

Blocklist status

Possible blocklist status values: Not listed, Listed (Minor blocklist), Listed (Major blocklist), Listed (Multiple blocklists), Delisted (removed from the blocklist), Pending re-evaluation, Unknown.

For full status definitions and what to do when a report fails or expires, see Manage reports.

NOTEIf you cannot access email sender reputation reports, verify that the Email Deliverability Center is enabled on your account. Contact your account manager to enable it. If no data is available, verify you have at least one dedicated sending IP or an envelope domain configured. If sender score data is missing, it is only available for sending identities with higher traffic volumes. Use Google Postmaster and Microsoft SNDS metrics as alternatives. For Failed, Stopped, or Expired reports, see Manage reports.
