AgentOS report

View as Markdown

AgentOS reports break down your costs across two layers: message delivery (channel spend) and AgentOS processing (Journeys, chatbots, human agents, and AI agents).

Use AgentOS reports when you need to:

  • Understand the cost split between messaging traffic and AgentOS processing
  • Analyze costs by engine type to see which automation layer drives the most spend
  • Break down costs by Journey to attribute expenses to specific automation flows
  • Report AgentOS processing costs to stakeholders alongside channel costs

For a broader view of messaging costs across all services, use Financial reports instead. For programmatic access to the same billing data, see Billing Usage API.

IMPORTANTData for the current month is provisional and may change until finalized on the 5th of the following month. Use finalized data only for financial commitments or integrations into financial systems.

Access and availability

AgentOS reports are only available if your account uses AgentOS as a product.

If you are an AgentOS customer, you also need the Finance Manager or Account Manager role to access the reports. See account settings for role management.

With this role, you can view financial data for your account, related sub-accounts, and all accounts under your company. If you log in as a sub-account, you see only your own account data. For details, see Account hierarchy and visibility.

IMPORTANTAgentOS reports are not available for legacy account setups. This is a structural limitation; it cannot be enabled on request. If you are unsure whether your account uses a legacy setup, contact your account manager.

Coverage

AgentOS reports cover the following channels and services:

Data finalization

  • Recurrence: Monthly only. Each recurring report covers the previous finalized month.
  • Data finalization: The 5th of the following month. Until then, totals may change due to late-arriving traffic records, volume discounts, and pricing adjustments.
  • Invoice alignment: Always verify report totals against your monthly invoice before using them for financial commitments.

For retention period, timezone, and multi-data center behavior, see Data scope and finalization.

Report structure and grouping logic

Your report is structured as a table. Dimensions determine what each column represents; together they define how costs are broken down into rows.

Account is always included as the base grouping. You can add the following dimensions:

  • Channel
  • Direction
  • Traffic type
  • Engine type: The AgentOS component that processed the traffic: Journeys, Inbox, Chatbot, AI Agent, or Index. Reports display the Index engine type as Human.
  • Sender
  • Sender type: An enrichment of Sender. Select it and Sender is added automatically.
  • Network
  • Country
  • Template ID
  • Template: An enrichment of Template ID. Select it and Template ID is added automatically.
  • Journey ID: Unique identifier for an Automation Studio Journey; use to attribute costs to specific automation flows

The following metrics are always appended at the end of every report (not selectable):

  • AgentOS processing quantity: Number of billed AgentOS processing units
  • Channel cost: Cost of message delivery on the channel
  • AgentOS processing cost: Cost of processing traffic through AgentOS
  • Total cost: Combined channel and AgentOS processing cost
  • Currency: Billing currency (ISO 4217)

For complete field and dimension definitions, see Billing data reference.

    • Choose between a one-time or recurring report.
NOTERecurring reports support monthly scheduling only.
  6. In the Structure section, select the columns you want in your report. See Report structure and grouping logic above.
  7. In the Filters section, optionally narrow down results by: Account, Country, Network, Sender. See Available filters above.
  8. In the Export options section, choose the file format and delivery options:
    • Export file format: Select .xlsx (spreadsheet) or .csv (plain text).
    • Export file to external server: Select a server configuration to automatically upload the report after generation. See Configure data export.
    • Get report download link by email: Send a download link to your account email address, and optionally add additional recipients.
    • Direct download: Generate a shareable link so anyone with the link can download the report. The link is valid until the report expires.
  9. Select Create report.
IMPORTANTThe Direct download option is not enabled by default and is available only on request. Contact Support to enable it.

Report generation runs in the background. While the report is being generated, you can select the three-dot menu next to it and choose Cancel to stop generation. The report status changes to Ready when generation is complete. If you configured email delivery in the Export options section, recipients receive a download link by email.

Find your report in the AgentOS reports list. Reports move through PendingReadyExpired (72 hours after generation). Ready reports show a Download button. To access additional actions, select the three-dot menu next to a report:

  • View details: Opens the report detail panel with three tabs:
    • Overview: Report type, occurrence, date range, who requested it, and when it was generated
    • Configuration: Dimensions and metrics included in the report
    • Export details: File format, external server configuration, and direct download link status
  • Duplicate: Creates a new report with the same configuration. Use this to re-run an expired or failed report, or create a variation without rebuilding settings.
  • Delete: Permanently deletes the report

For full status definitions and what to do when a report fails or expires, see Manage reports.

NOTEIf you cannot access AgentOS reports, verify your account uses AgentOS and that you have the Finance Manager or Account manager role. If both are confirmed but access is still unavailable, your account may use a legacy setup. Contact your account manager. If current month totals look incomplete, this is expected: data finalizes on the 5th of the following month. See Data finalization. For Failed, Stopped, or Expired reports, see Manage reports.
